Innsbruck backcountry trip with OSI Friluft & Alpenverein Innsbruck for Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, Februar 2025

OSI Friluft and Alpenverein Innsbruck welcome you to an Erasmus+ exchange trip to Innsbruck, where we will combine exciting summit trips, learning and cultural exchange. The trip will give participants the opportunity to develop skills in avalanche knowledge, trip planning and winter outdoor life, while creating networks with participants from different countries. We stay at two mountain huts near Innsbruck, and the program includes both trips, workshops and social activities.

Remember to register as a member of OSI Friluft and pay all membership fees for the spring of 2024: 

• Registered as a member of OSI Friluft. Register here: Register as a member of OSI Friluft (Approved when we see you have paid)
• Paid Oslo Students' Sports Club (120kr) and OSI Friluft (238) membership fees for the spring of 2025. You can view your unpaid fees here: My Payments. Slightly more expensive for non-students.
• Paid the participation fee for this trip of 3000kr, by buying a "ticket" for this event.

NOTE! It is important that you do this as soon as possible, so we can book flight and bus tickets for everyone right away!

Communication with participants and tripleaders

• All communication will be done with Whatsapp, you will receive a link to join the community channels and chats for this trip when you have registered and paid for the trip.

Packing list for Ski touring in Innsbruck

Apparel:

• 2 sets of wool underwear (top and bottom).
• Fleece/mid-layer.
• Windproof and waterproof shell jacket and trousers.
• Down jacket or synthetic insulation jacket.
• Warm hat, buff and gloves/mittens (2 sets).
• Socks in wool (minimum 3 pairs).
• Sunglasses and ski goggles.

Equipment:

• Touring skis/splitboards with skins.
• Ski boots/snowboard boots.
• Telescopic poles.
• Avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe (mandatory).
• Helmet.
• Backpack (30-40L) with ski/snowboard attachments.
• Drinking bottle (min. 1L).
• Snacks and packed lunch for day trips.
• Headlamp.
• First aid kit

Toiletries and miscellaneous:

• Toiletries and towel.
• Mobile charger.
• Earplugs.
• Slippers/slippers.

Travel:

• Passport
• Travel insurance (Which applies to alpine skiing and damage in mountains/avalanches)
• European Health Insurance Card.
