Seiltur til Strømtangen fyr – for deg som søker eventyr på havet

Hello!

The plan is to sail from Steinbrygga in Horten out into the fjord, with the goal of getting to  Strømtangen lighthouse . This is a longer sailing trip, and depending on the wind conditions, the voyage can take anywhere from  5 to 9 hours . If the wind becomes too bad and the conditions are not suitable for the trip there, we may have to change destination along the way.

We are leaving early  on May 20th and expect to be back late  May 21st .

This is a trip for those who appreciate adventure, and who enjoy both the calmness of the sea and its rawness. The trip is intended as a proper sailing experience, and therefore it is an advantage if you have  some previous sailing experience . This is not a beginner's trip, but a social and memorable trip for those who want more time at sea and a longer voyage.

Important to know:
 This is not a course, but a trip where friends go sailing together. It will be a social and low-threshold trip, but with a longer route and more time under sail than on the shorter trips.

About the boat:
 The boat is an  Alo Mikkel 26. It has sleeping accommodations for 5 people, a small kitchen, toilet and life jackets. The boat has a small electric outboard motor that is only used to get in and out of the harbor. This is a relatively slow but stable boat.

Places and transport:
 There will be  3 places available on this trip. 
Participants will initially have to take  the train to the boat. If any of the participants are able to arrange a car, it will make transport easier, and  Friluft will then cover the car costs .

Train ticket for students under 26 years of age included in the ticket.
