Helgetur til Norefjell

Cross country skiing in Norefjell offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of the Norwegian winter landscape and a true Nordic skiing adventure. The Høgevarde is known for its open view over eastern Norway.

The trip schedule is as follows: On Day 1, we will drive from Oslo to Eggedal, where we will stay in a cozy Airbnb cabin located close to the main top, Høgevarde, and only a short distance from the skiing track. We will spend the day relaxing and getting to know one another while cooking dinner together. On Day 2, after breakfast, we will embark on a 6-7 hour cross country skiing trip to Høgevarde, on the track groomed by scooters. We will enjoy the sunset on the way back to the cabin, where we will again cook dinner together. On Day 3, we will have a 1-2 hour morning ski before packing up and driving back to Oslo.

The registration: The cost of the tour is 500 Kr and is only available to OSI Friluft members. This includes two overstays and two dinners, as well as a seat in car, if there is space available. If you have your own car and are willing to share seats, you can register for the event for 200 Kr and will be given priority enrollment, and gas and toll will be cover by OSI. We have very limited seats, only register you are able to show up on time and registration is non-refundable.

What you need to do to join the trip: you should register on the OSI Friluft website, participate in the pre-meeting, and make sure you have all necessary equipment beforehand. You will also need to bring two packed lunches for both Saturday and Sunday, as well as any extra bread or snacks for breakfast.

In this trip, we have a snow expert and a glaicer expert, so that we can explain the unique glaicial & periglacial processes in cold environments for you.
